“Three months ago in August we met up with our friend and French filmmaker Vincent Moon on an island in the Danish country side. The objective was to shoot a film. A film with the same length as an album and a film full of performances, experiments and collaborations.

We were there with our 8-piece live band featuring Niklas Antonson(Slaraffenland), Heather Broderick, Peter Broderick and Frederik Teige. Over an intense period of 4 days we managed to collaborate with more than 200 local musicians, kids and parents.”

“So far 2010 has been a great year for Slaraffenland´s and Efterklang’s mutant-band SlaraffenKLANG and today we can reveal another highlight! The release of their new free live EP entitled PRINSER & VIKINGER Live at the Royal Danish Playhouse.

The new EP is available for free and holds 5 songs all recorded at January 24th 2010 when SlaraffenKLANG guested the Royal Danish Playhouse in Copenhagen.

EFTERKLANG – 4AD-SESSION

New Video: Efterklang – Modern Drift.

Directed by Kristian Leth. “The new music video is based on Dyrehaven, den Romantiske Skov, a film from 1970 by the acclaimed artists Per Kirkeby and Jørgen Leth (Kristians father). The film geek will know that the album title Magic Chairs draws on inspiration from another film by Jørgen Leth.”

Magic Chairs will be released on February 22nd 2010 on Efterklangs own Rumraket label in Scandinavia and on 4AD outside of Scandinavia.
