on friday the national played a secret show in a courtyard of a hotel here in berlin and i was lucky enough to get a ticket. i’m not a massive fan but their record alligator from 2005 was/is/will be such a wonderful exceptional record in my eyes. and to see them there in this courtyard with a few other hundred people was just overwhelming.
